Volunteering Volunteers are good people doing great things to help others within their community.

At Mercedes College, everyone's contribution is welcome.

Together with our educators, volunteers enrich the lives of students by sharing skills, knowledge, their time and energy.

Volunteering also promotes our Mercy values, helping prepare our young people to actively participate in their community.

It's easy to get involved

There are so many ways for families to be involved, from coaching or managing a sporting team, mentoring a student, supporting learning experiences, to helping out at community events - and all of them are enormously rewarding!

There are three easy steps to become a volunteer:

  1. Complete your Volunteer Form
  2. Complete the Plink online ‘Fundamentals course: Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care’ (RRAHN-EC).
  3. Email a copy of your current Working with Children Check, RRHAN Certificate, and relevant Volunteer Form to volunteering@mercedes.catholic.edu.au.

To find out how you can be involved, contact our staff at volunteering@mercedes.catholic.edu.au. We can also help you navigate the mandatory steps of volunteering within a school setting.
