Mercedes College has storage facilities at the northern and southern ends of the Campus for students choosing to ride their bicycle to school.
Junior School students can store their bikes under the awning at the back of Strathspey House, near the Junior School Office.
Middle and Senior School students can secure their bikes in the dedicated bike locker at the corner of the Yitpi Centre, near the outdoor courts.
Students who are dropped off at school by a parent or family member have the use of two ‘kiss and drop’ locations.
Junior School students and their siblings use the entrance on Delamere Avenue, and Middle and Senior School students use Founders Lane off Carrick Hill Drive.
Both locations are designed for quick handovers, with no parking and a one-way, roundabout formation that keeps traffic moving.
Alternatively, parents can park in the surrounding streets and walk with their children into Campus. There are pedestrian access points on Delamere Avenue, Carrick Hill Drive, and Rectory Walk.
An emu crossing on Delamere Avenue, and traffic light crosswalks on Fullarton Road and Carrick Hill Drive help make this process safe.
Mercedes College has a distinct unisex summer and winter uniform, plus a separate uniform for Physical Education (PE).
Students in Reception to Year 2 wear the PE uniform only.
Students from Year 3 to Year 9 wear their formal uniform, and the PE uniform is only worn on days when they have Physical Education classes.
Senior School students are required to wear their formal uniform to and from the College. If they have PE lessons, then they need to bring their PE uniform to school and change for that lesson. Our standard for senior students is they wear their formal College uniform for all lessons, except for PE.
