A chance for the parent, student and teacher to discuss the approaches to learning by the students.

Year 12 Learning Reviews

7 April 2020 - 4:00pm to 9:00pm

The Term 1 Year 12 Learning Reviews are to be held on Tuesday 7 April 2020 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm.

Due to our current restrictions on social gatherings, these conversations with your child’s teachers will take place via phone.

Appointments will be of no more than 10 minutes in duration, and being aware of the length of the discussion will assist in keeping the Learning Reviews running smoothly for all involved.

How to Book

Parents/Guardians of Year 12 students have two windows to book Learning Reviews.
The first window, opening on Wednesday 25 March, allows teachers to recommend a Learning Review and for parents to book accordingly. The second window, from Monday 30 March, is when all parents may request a Learning Review with a teacher. All bookings must be made by Sunday 5 April at 9:00pm. Bookings cannot be made before or after these dates.

Teacher Recommended Bookings Open: Wednesday 25 March 2020
All Parent Bookings Open: Monday 30 March 2020

Whilst some interviews are recommended by teachers; students and parents are also able to request an interview to discuss progress. I would encourage you all to take the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress personally with their teachers.

The online booking system (Parent Teacher Online) is to be used for these interviews, so please access this to make your appointments. At the time arranged via the online booking system, your child’s teacher will call you on a number that is registered on our student information database. If the teacher is unable to reach you the first time, they will contact you a second time after a few minutes in case you are on another learning review phone call.

I encourage you all to be involved and to contact teaching staff if you are unable to discuss your child’s progress at this time yet would still like the opportunity for further feedback. In addition, to help the phone calls keep to time, if you have any specific aspects you wish to discuss with your child’s teacher then you may wish to make contact with them prior to the appointment.

Of course, in our current climate of some uncertainty we thank you for your understanding as we conduct these Learning Reviews in this way.

If there are any questions or concerns, please contact me at the College on 8372 3200, and I look forward to meeting with you on Tuesday 7 April 2020.
