John Fanning Justice Award

Nearly 12 months ago we lost a true Mercedes legend in John Fanning.

John encouraged a love of learning and was the heart and soul of the College for over 30 years. He epitomised the Mercy spirit and has left an enduring legacy of fairness, integrity, advocacy, commitment to faith and compassion.

To honour John’s memory, we thought it fitting to establish an award in his name. To do this, we need your help.

This year the Mercy Key is ‘Justice’, a value John demonstrated in his ability to always advocate for all students. The award will be called the ‘John Fanning Justice Award’ and will be presented at the end of each year to a student who best exemplifies John’s legacy.

We welcome your donation to this very special award. Please click on the link below where you can make your gift and share your favourite memory of John. We will then collate the memories, including yours, and present them to the Fanning family in recognition of John’s first anniversary on 27 February 2021.

We thank you so much.
