Payment of school fees, excursions and related activities is also accepted at the shop.

Uniform Update: Introducing formal pants, shorts and skorts for girls

This was brought to the table after several conversations had with students, parents and staff providing feedback that girls felt restricted to involve themselves in physical activities with the formal uniform. It was evident through our investigation that the formal uniform option for girls prevents some forms of physical activity and deters the girls from being active during recess and lunch.

As a committee, we decided to design an alternative formal uniform OPTION for girls, including skorts for the Junior School students and shorts and long pants for the Middle and Senior School students. We reaffirm that this is an option for girls, and they may choose to continue wearing a dress in Terms 1 and 4, and skirt in Terms 2 and 3. We want it to be their choice. This was well received by the student representatives of the committee, as well as the parent body. We proceeded to work in conjunction with Midford, our uniform supplier, and developed the best possible options to ensure that the high standard of uniform was maintained.

These available options are considered part of the formal uniform, therefore presenting an alternative for those students wishing to purchase them.

The College Council approved the proposal towards the end of last year and strongly supported what was presented to them.

The following items will be in stock by the end of Term 3 2019.

It is also important to note that from the beginning of 2020, the PE Polar Fleece Tops will no longer be part of the uniform and cannot be worn

In addition to the pants/shorts/skort option for girls, we are also updating Years 3-12 boys uniform with navy shorts, pants and socks. This change will be implemented over 18 months, and students may continue to wear the grey shorts / pants and socks in 2020 during the changeover period.

Please see the full changes to the formal uniform below. Larger versions of these images are available here

Reception to Year 2

No change to this uniform (R-2 students always wear the PE Uniform).

Years 3-12 Boys

• Phasing in the navy shorts / pants and socks

This will be implemented over 18 months. Grey shorts / pants and socks may continue to be worn in 2020.

Years 3-5 Girls

• A skort will be an option in addition to the summer dress / winter pinafore. The skort will be worn with a short sleeve white shirt for summer and a white long sleeve shirt for winter.

Years 6-12 Girls

• Navy shorts / pants will be an option in addition to the summer dress / winter skirt. The shorts/pants will be worn with a white short sleeve shirt for summer and a white long sleeve shirt for winter with navy socks.
