MC8 Entrepreneurship Programme

MC8 is an extra-curricular Entrepreneurship Programme offered by Mercedes College designed to help students develop their ideas into something tangible and expand them beyond the classroom.

Students learn how to realise their dream idea with expertise from those who have done it before. They will investigate what makes a successful start-up, and discover how to incub8, id8, evalu8, cre8, and ultimately acceler8 their entrepreneurial talents. Participants will follow the process of evolving an idea and learn about the importance of business models, innovation, customer testing, and problem-solving through the principles of design thinking. The aim of the programme is to assist participants to see their business ideas become a tangible reality.

MC8 is an extension of the thinking, collaborative and problem solving skills already delivered through the International Baccalaureate (IB) and SACE in the Middle and Senior Schools. Held on Tuesday afternoons in Terms 2 and 3, it is for students who want to develop their own ideas or build their entrepreneurial spirit and skills to create their own future in the global economy.
