Coaching Opportunity | First XI Boys Cricket

The opportunity has come up to join our cricket community as Coach for the Mercedes College Boys' First XI team.

Becoming a Coach for one of our dedicated sporting teams is a rewarding way to support the College and our students. We are currently looking to secure an experienced cricket coach for our Boys' First XI team.

The right candidate would be an accredited coach, and/or have experience coaching players of a similar age bracket (Year 10 to Year 12) or older. You would receive guidance and support from the College's sporting faculty, and would receive reimbursement for any expenses incurred when carrying out your duties.

In Term 4 the Boys' First XI plays regular matches on Saturday mornings, with T20 matches also played on Friday afternoons.

A Mercedes College Coach must have (or be willing to undertake):

  • A valid Working With Children Clearance and Catholic Clearance, and
  • Training in 'Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect' (6 hours online, $60).

Senior First Aid certification (HLTAID012) would be ideal, though not a requirement.
