Netballers to benefit from Directing appointment

The appointment of our new Director of Netball Jodie Hamilton-Melhuish to benefit our players.

Our netballers are set to benefit from the appointment of our new Director of Netball, Jodie Hamilton-Melhuish.

Jodie's an Educational Support Officer with our Learning Enrichment Team, with more than 20 years of coaching experience from Juniors to Seniors at Premier League Level, including State League Reserves Netball Coach for Cheerio, Cougars and Matrics and State U19 Netball Assistant Coach.

She holds a Level 2 Intermediate Coach qualification (NSA) and is currently the Matrics Junior Netball Coach.

As our coaching director, Jodie's looking forward to positively influencing players’ holistic development and providing opportunities for students with a passion for the game.

By investing further in our curriculum extension activities our students can explore their interests and talents as they develop resilience, and develop positive relationships beyond the classroom.

Aligned with our Strategic Plan to 2025, Jodie will work with our Sport Coordinators to develop, document, and implement Netball Coaching Programmes to engage players through mentoring and developing our coaches, and a framework that promotes capability development, clearly articulating skill progression, tactics, understanding and approaches.
